Welcome to the
Directory
Submitter
Tutorial!
In this tutorial you
will be shown exactly how to use
Directory Submitter to create numerous quality
back links.
The Directory Submitter
is better than ALL directory submitters currently being
sold on the net... The power of this software is
unbeatable.
This tutorial is written in a
step-by-step fashion that shows each individual step and
the outcome of taking that step. We also include screen
shots so you can see exactly what it will look like each
step of the way. If you follow exactly what I am doing,
comparing your software screens with the pictures here
in this tutorial exactly, we will get you to post
successfully to directories.. And, by doing so, placing
valuable back links to your site.
This is one of the most easy to use
software but the results are phenomenal, so…Lets get
started.
When you start and load the program.
Your screen will look like the screen shot below.

STEP ONE: Create a
profile
In this section you will create your
first profile. Click on settings and choose make
profile. The screen below will pop up. Just fill in the
blanks as listed. After completed click on save. The
data that you supply in your profile is what will be
posted in the directories. You can have unlimited
profiles for promoting unlimited sites/pages.

STEP TWO: Do a
search for directories
To begin doing searches
click on file (top/upper left on your software screen)
and select search directories. The screen below will pop
up.
This is where we will perform the
actual searches for the directories that you want to
post to (this is the driving power of this software that
makes it so much more powerful than all others.. because
it is fully unlimited). The software will let you search
either by using keywords or NOT using keywords. It
leaves that totally up to you... This too adds to the
raw power of the software because it gives you the
ability to find more directories based on any criteria
you choose.
The software will then start
searching for pages for you to post your to. The amount
of directories that the software searches for is set to
300 by default. You can change this later on the
“option” screen if you’d like.
Now, hit the “Begin Search” button
and you will see something like this.

For this example we have chosen to
not select “No keywords” and let it use a random string.
It will use a different string each time we use it.
If you choose to perform a keyword
specific search, just uncheck the box titled “No
keywords’ and click edit. Doing so will bring up the
keyword selection tool as shown below.

You can either load your keywords
manually by typing them in and clicking “add” or you can
upload a list of your keywords by clicking “load”. The
keywords in the text file need to be in a one-per-line
format.
You can stop the search at any time
you feel you have enough directories by simply hitting
“cancel”, although I’d recommend letting it go ahead and
finish searching on its own.
Next, you need to select all the
directories you want to post to by checking the box next
to them or by clicking the “select all” button next to
the blogs it has found for you.
Here’s what your screen should look
like at this point.

At this point, you need to save the
list of url’s that Directory Submitter has just found
for you by clicking “save file” . Just make sure you
select them before you try to save them.
Let’s go now to the “Option Screen “
by clicking on the option tab. This is what it will look
like.
Let’s start with Search Settings and
what it all means.
STEP THREE: Search
Settings:
Number of directories to search: This
is where you will set the amount of directories you want
it to find for you.
Search threads to use: This is the
amount of threads you are using to simultaneously search
on Google. Be careful to have these settings low enough
for Google not to notice you . Google does not like
automated searches on their network and when they find
out what is happening, they may block access to their
services. Just play around with it to see what works
best for you. The default value should be fine for most.
(if google blocks you, it isn't anything serious.. you
will just need to open a browser window, go to google,
and you will be promoted to enter an image
verification... and then you are immediately returned to
normal status)
Search Time Out (s) <60: Search time
out in seconds. When no results are yielded, the
software will start a new search within the set time
out. Anything in between 10 and 30 will do nicely.
Page Rank: Pages with a high Page
Rank, are very valuable to post to. Our posts become
high PR back links pointing to our sites. The higher you
set the PR, the lower the amount of directories it will
find, yet the ones it does find will be of higher
quality. Example: IF your site has a PR 3, use anything
above 4 or 5 to raise your PR ASAP.

Use Proxies
Do not forget to switch on your proxy
if you wanted to! ( You do not have to, as the software
functions great without them. If you do use proxies,
make sure they are working and that you have the proxy
service setting tagged as below:
Now all you have to do
is save your settings.
STEP FOUR: Import
the results
On the main screen of
the program choose file and select import directory
file. Now find the file on your computer that you saved
saved from the search we did in step two and select it.

A caution box will pop
up that states Do you want to clear the old directories
in the listbox? Click on yes.

Your screen will look
like the screen shot below.

Next tag the top
link

Finally hit go

Once you click on the
"GO" button, the Directory Submitter will now load the
first 10 urls listed... These urls will be loaded into
the 10 tabs that span the software as shown below.

As the pages are loaded,
the tab text will change from its current state to
"Complete" ... This is telling you that the page has
fully loaded.
Now, you will simply
click on tab #1, view the submission form.... The form
will already be pre-populated with the data you supplied
in your profile (in most cases).
Now, you will give it a
quick looking over to be sure that this form does not
require additional information.... If it requires
additional data, type it in and click their submit
button, and if it does not require additional data,
simply click on their submit button.
Now, go to the next tab
and do it again, and continue this until you have
completed the last tab. At this point, you will click
the next UNtagged url in your list on the right side
panel, and click on the GO button again, and it will
proceed to load the next 10 urls in your list.
Do this process until
you run out of directories to submit in :-)
TIP - TRICK::
When you find yourself
looking at a submission form/page that is very easy, or
very appealing to you.... look for any identifying
information on that page that you could use as a search
term while searching for directories to post in... Most
of the time you will find an identifier and when you use
that identifier as a search term, you will be presented
primarily with submission pages from that specific type
of directory software... which means you are able to
zero in on your preferred type of directory to submit
in, while still maintaining quality assurance by
implementing the PR value filter.
A Final Word...
Because of the lack of
limits placed into this software, the software is
actually pulling any page that the google search engine
tells it is a directory submission page... as we all
know, search engines are not 100% accurate, and
marketers are pretty sharp, so there will indeed be
pages that do not meet our criteria even though the
program says it does... This is because the program
trusts the search engine results (lol, as most of us
also do).
So, when you come to a
page that does not have the submission form on it, and
no link to it... just skip it and move on to the next.
The bottom line is that this is very white hat link
building, and very respected by the search engines... so
the small aggravations are far out weighed by the
massive results obtained with diligent usage. |
